What do you mean by weather was bad? . Yes, you can still run your truck how it's tuned without the mini max itself plugged in, but it will just be running the no power setting only. .

with the banks IQ monitor between the heat and the cold they would stop working for whatever reason.

If you are planning on unplugging it after you install it why not look into buying the XRT Pro. Little Cheaper and does the same thing as the Mini Max if your now going to utilize the Mini for an Outlook monitor
