Does the J35 update erase the footprints of the blackmaxx? What I am asking is if I get the dealer to update the ECM and I don't reinstall the Blackmaxx, will another dealer be able to see that a programmer was installed.
Thx

"footprint" is a hard subject to get an answer on. The computer on the 6.7 is very complex and saves a lot of date. If you reflash with the j35, and have you exhaust removed, you will have check engine lights and it will not run correctly. You need to have our programmer installed in order to function right. If you are trying to remove our programmer and go back to stock, by returning our unit to stock you are essentially doing the same thing as a j35 reflash would do. Our units put on a clean cummins flash every time it is returned to stock.
So I am not entirely sure on what your questions is, but I hope this helps.

I was trying to ask was if the J35 installed, would it clean the Ecm of the tuner. As in would the dealer be able to see the tuner and void the warranty later.
Does time have anything to do with dealer being able to see the traces of the tuner. If I went back to stock would 6 months of driving make a difference.
Thank you for the response and I hope that I am making sense

Yes, time will have a lot to do with hiding traces of any tuner. But you can also just as easily return the truck to stock with the tuner, instead of going in to get the J35. It will put a brand new cummins flash on the truck. Then you can drive it for a few months and build up some good history in the ecu.
